Ok so this one may take the prize for weirdest smart phone we have tested to date. If your goal is to get curiosity lookers in Starbucks, mission accomplished.

Real world though, the use case for this is even more tenuous than the Duo. There are about 6 apps that utilize the dual screen configuration. It is fine to play with though and one of the apps is a game where the controls are on the lower smaller screen

Unbox Therapy has a video on this one. Seems interesting, and some of the features would be useful, but I can’t see this design catching on. Looks like it would get cumbersome and definitely has a bit of a gimmicky vibe to it. Nice to see companies being adventurous with designs though.

It’s definitely weird, but they did put some thought into what use case(s) it would serve. Witness the functionality of video recording in the PC Mag hands-on (@ about the 3 minute mark):

The bottom stub screen can be a digital gimbal, with controls. YouTubers and obsessive dads might like it!

I definitely agree with you. even though this one seems goofy, it might spur a variation eg. "you know, how about instead of having it cut the under display in half how about we..."

I will say there is nothing flimsy feeling about it at all. I half expected it to the feel that way but it's really solid built with no wobble or flex in actual use. Yes I can force it to bend a bit. but that's with far more force than I think any actual user would apply.

It’ll get looks, for sure. But it won’t dethrone the Duo as the current Starbucks Showoff Queen. It’s odd, giving the owner quirky points, while the Duo looks classy and refined—the owner feels like they’re gaining coolness points.

The Duo 2 is more likely to be in the wild before Starbucks open enough to start garnering style points...
