Screen capture via the pen for easy annotation? Remote shutter for selfies?

My guess would be that it's probably no different from the Bluetooth button on Microsoft's pen. I'd expect it to bring up a pen related menu in most cases, but then have custom functionality in certain apps (like the mentioned remote shutter as an example).

Android Authority has an interesting feature article on the speculative configurations of Samsung's folding Galaxy X. https://www.androidauthority.com/galaxy-x-folding-design-animation-883190/

They don't show my preferred Note X inward-folding clamshell, ~4.5" extra outside screen for notifications, clock, texting, phone, and other on-the-go mobile functions, that opens like a book to an ~8" 4:3 aspect ratio tablet, S-Pen in silo of course... well, it's all dreams until Samsung reveals the thing. We'll see. ;)

@Bronsky and @djas - think you guys are jumping the gun a bit. Factor in the new Note 9 Bluetooth enabled S-Pen; doesn't do much for a Galaxy Note, but what could that add to a near iPad Mini size fold-able tablet; see where this is going...I've changed my mind completely on this one because I too said WTF to a non-stylus folding tablet, until I started seeing all the rumors about the Bluetooth S-Pen.
