You know you can install Duo and face your time with iOS devices?

I guess I know it now. I have virtually no knowledge of IOS, having never owned an IPhone or IPad. And, my knowledge of Android is rudimentary as well. I embraced my blablackberry for far too long.

Make it a habit to visit Play Store once a month. They have really upgraded their recommendation algorithms. You can even put in search phrases like "Can I FaceTime with family members".

But Duo doesn't actually access Facetime, the iOS user also has to have Duo installed on their iPhone, correct?

I hate to say this (No I don't, it actually irritates me) but most iOS users are too lazy to use anything outside the walled garden if Apple furnishes an App to do the same thing - "too inconvenient and nobody else uses it."

You're right, my point was that you can do it between Android and iOS. And it is Google that provides the solution, not Apple. Why they don't release a $10 Android version of FaceTime is beyond me, but I'm probably too profit focused.

Facetime, like iMessage and Airdrop, are the corporate jewels that help keep you locked into the walled garden. If the Android riffraff had them, you would be polluting the gene pool (euphemism for "diluting profits")

Not new, but welcome info regardless. It's good to hear that they're still on target for CES, even if it's only rumor.

From what I've read, Samsung is racing Huawei for the first true folding smartphone, not a dual screen (which has already been done, albeit not very successfully—e.g. ZTE Axon M).

You don't think your beloved Fruit Ninjas will continue buying iProducts even if FaceTime will be available to the riff raff of the Galaxy Note crowd?
