Thank you. I was curious about it and now I certainly will not bother seeing it.

As for the Dune remake... I didn't particularly like the book, I didn't care much for the first movie, so I'm not looking forward to another. It does seem to be a difficult novel to adapt for the big screen. Of course, better writing and directing and acting would probably help...

I liked the first novel but things got very moddled with the series of books. I guess Herbert had a right to cash in.

I liked the first book of Dune a lot better before I read the second and the first few chapters of the third. It was kind of a retroactive dislike that backlashed the first book. A similar thing happened with A Song of Ice and Fire after I finished the third book and no longer cared about the remaining characters. :p There's a Trope that describes the cause:

I did a search in here to be sure, but no one has mentioned
"The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension". Good cast, low-budget but a good story. I go back and forth about this one or Blade Runner being my favorite for the best ever. Yes, I'm serious! Buckaroo Banzai is not a farce! Ah, there are so many great lines in it (Perfect Tommy to Buckaroo: "Why do I have to do it?" Buckaroo: "Because you're perfect.")
