Yes. And it can leak. My mother (or actually my brother broke it) broke a laptop screen once. It didn't leak outside the screen itself, but rather stayed inside the layers. But it looked weird!

Hmmm. My display is clearly defective. It's showing two lines about two inches long and about a pixel or two wide. The pixels are not dead but appear translucent. I wonder if this is a related issue? The lines seem to be getting worse but I'm trying to hold off an exchange in hope that Asus tweaks its manufacturing line to address this fragility.

It went to LA via Texas (where they told me to send it). Once it was in LA it only took them ~1 week to fix it, but it took them nearly a month (and ~5 calls) to get it to LA. I sent it in more than a month before I got it back.

So yours did take over a month & went to LA.
Must be where they are fixing this model.

Does your display seem brighter now?
My first one was just plain dull, no matter how
    bright it was adjusted.

I have had a couple of start up/power freezes.
Hope it is not somethng new starting to act up.
    Digitizer workinf fine for now...

    Has your pen been working?
I did not send it in for a "display leak",
but the first screen was dull, the new one is
much brighter. Not as vibrant as the Dell,
    but close.

Yep. Pen has never faltered on either unit I've had. But, the lines on my display look like the pixels are bleeding into each other. Odd but I thought it could be related when I saw your replacement data, then Meso's.

    This thing leaks LSD?

Bronsky how soon after you got your case did the display start messing up?

Yes. My first unit was ordered the first day the 64GB model was available from the MS Store website.

I think the LCD issues first showed up while I was using the IVSO case from which the magnets had already been removed. The first problem appeared within a few weeks of getting my replacement unit.
