    Hi Everybody,

The USB port of my note 8 is broken , I am going to replace it is there any repair manual ? or any body has done it before ? Or anybody knows the part number for USB?
Actually the usb pin in PCB also damaged and I have to use a microscope to clean and solder it.
I might take photo and put a DIY here so any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks, Bob

No idea, but in the digitizer DIY fix thread there is a link to an Asus site where the original OEM cables can be ordered. Maybe the USB port can be found there as well?

Physical damage are usually not covered.

I think our devices come with a one year accidental damage warranty.

Yes but here's the catch: http://notebookcare.asus.com/Content/US/ADP/ADP.aspx

Kinda contradictory so I don't have much faith in that warranty to be honest.

Lol, doesn't intentional or unintentional damage exclude pretty much everything. What kind of accidental damage is covered? Good thing we have plenty of lawyers around here =)

Sure would seem like a broad exclusion. Classic Asus. I would talk to a rep. You never know.
