Well, since it looks like we should see the VivoTab Note 8 right after MWC, I dusted off my old HP Slate 500 keyboard. The folio is too bulky but the keyboard looks like it will be the right size. I can carry it in the back pocket of my brief case and keep the M80T in the front pocket in its case, taking up almost 2/3 less space than my current Q522/Folio keyboard.

Here is the Slate KB next to the 10" Q552. It looks like it might be the right size for a smaller tablet like the M80T.

Here is the Fuji Q552 and folio. It takes up a lot of premium space in the brief case.

I'm hoping that the Asus/case will fit comfortably in one of the front pockets of the briefcase, ending all of that clutter in the document section. I'm assuming that the keyboard will get only occasional use, just like the Q552 does ATM. The Slate 500 keyboard has its drawbacks but it is fine as a travel keyboard. Anything more serious and I can take my Thinkpad X301 along, which doesn't take up all that much more room than the Fuji/keyboard combo.

Is this available to buy physically or a good online store in the UK (excluding amazon? I'll be there probably next week and would like to pick one up. Thanks.

The Microsoft surface pro stylus has the eraser and works very well but the stylus feels very plastic and a bit cheap.

It also has a ridge on it at its attachment point, that I didn't like. There is a Wacom pen thread in the surface forum. You should check it out.

Right? The attachment ridge and the pen clip are both unpleasantly sharp. I guess MS didn't have much experience with designing ergonomic pens. Anyway, back to the Asus VTN8.

You can't at the moment unless you find a physical MS store that hasn't sold all of them yet from the early batch of 32 gb they got. General availability isn't until early next month.

Hey, has anyone tried the Dell data+power trick with this?

Apparently, the regular Miix OTG Y cable hookup doesn't work, but I don't recall anyone trying the hack.

(of course my memory only goes back like two pages  )
