I would guess that Asus is aware of a problem. Or at least big retailer are.

Seems suspect that the AVN8 is not yet on Best Buy or Walmart shelves.

What's the built date on the back? If it's as recent as 03/2014 or 04/2014, it would indicated that Asus still haven't a clue on fixing this.

    Looks like 2014/02.

Mine also had a 2014/02 manufacture date.

The stylus detection is completely dead now. Usually I could restart it and have the stylus working for a few hours. Now I get nothing on start up.

Try installing this Wacom Feel Driver | Wacom Americas or if you have it, restore the tablet to factory settings and install it again.

So you installed it after your latest factory reset?

Yessir. I eventually get the same "This device cannot start. (Code 10)" and "STATUS_DEVICE_DATA_ERROR" displayed on the Wacom Device Properties when I check the Device status on the Device Manager.

With the old IC2 HID driver, I could just disable and re-enable it, and most of the time it'll resume function until it craps out again.

Has anyone figured out if this is a issue with drivers vs. hardware yet? I really want to keep this tablet since it's awesome when it's actually working...

Well they are replacing hardware on the RMA's, and, generally, it is really hard to imagine this is anything but a hardware problem.

I guess i'll need to make sure my device gets replaced this time instead of "reset". Pen literally started dying again yesterday, literally has only been a month since i got it back. Dyes in a few minutes now.

I was hoping it would at least be a bit longer. And here i am about to be wiþout my desktop for a while >¦[

The timing is horrible like last time.

    *sigh*
