Are you noticing any lag with the new Wacom driver?
I am experiencing some in PS & Painter if the brushes are
    very large.

Oh, god yes. Upped the ram usage to 90% for 8x10 300dpi canvases the other day, working smooth. Though I haven't used too many layers thus far so I'm not sure how it's going to hold up to hundreds of animation frames...

The new feelit driver likes to stutter, and some programs have to be restarted to even get pressure sensitivity.

Side note: when I'm not inputting the display turns off every 2 mins despite my power settings. Anyone know how to keep it from happening?

I've updated the OP with new tablet samples and new failures. The list now includes 31 tablets that either failed or were owned for 1 month or more without failure. The failure rate is currently at 35% ± 18%.

As a reminder the criteria for the list are:

    1) Owned the device a significant amount of time (~ 1 month). This excludes those who returned the device for other reasons.

    2) Posted about the device significantly prior to the pen failing (or not failing). People who join specifically to talk about the pen failure would obviously bias the results (not to discount their pain).

    3) Didn't drop off of the forums soon after purchasing (maybe it failed but they didn't come back to talk about it).

D you try going into the advanced settings?

    Control Panel(from Desktop) > Power Options >
Chankge Power Setings > Change Advanced power Settings >
    Advanced Power Options Menu

There should be lots of drop downs.
Change your display settings for both Power & Battery
    to the desired time.

I'm using this same card in mine and love it. Wish it was a bit faster, but it's not like the 64gb eMMC is all that quick anyway.

What do the affected dates seem to be? Unfortunately I picked mine up from amazon about 2-3 weeks ago but the manufacture date is February 2014. :/

Also, another stupid question, is Asus charging for these repairs?

been pretty much a month for me give or take a couple days. pen still works. touch wood. 04/2014 date on this one!

and this was perhaps not aided in any way by my having dropped the tablet, screen down, flat onto the floor...

    Ouch!

Time will tell. One of the members went over 90 days
    before his/her tablet failed.
Most seem to fail after 30 daus.

Somebody earlier in the thread mentioned updating the actual chipset drivers after he had pen failure and the problem had not re-occurred.

The poster has not since updated this information.

Has anybody updated chipset drivers and experienced pen failure afterwards?
Does anybody with a failed digitizer wish to be the guinea pig and update chipset driver?
