Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in.

Edit: it's not a refresh or anything. Just a limited number of 8000 units that come with a tuner for a local Japanese TV service. Fooey.

At the very least, this is probably a new production run. Hopefully, the engineers looked at the pen issues. Not crazy about the white back. Looks just like the Samsung now, which is probably the point.

I have to have a full Windows PC, I don't even like web browsing in Android.

Have to make a decision on whether to return this or not in a few days and I'm no closer than I was when I started.

Gotta say I guess I'm the only happy one with my Note 8. 2014/03 build data. I wiped everything clean and installed Enterprise (for personal reasons) and all the drivers, nothing went wrong. Pen is fine., have the Bamboo (or whatever, lol) drivers installed. Love this little thing!

    Me too!

Well, so far our plan for the holiday works....

We bought a dashcam for our trip (there and back again). But a 32Gb microSD card can only hold about 4 hours of video. We've got 2 32Gb cards, so those will cover 1 day of travel (I made days of max 6 hours). We'll be on the road for 17. So, it was either 34 32Gb microSD cards (64Gb support is hit or miss), or 2 and a 1Tb external HDD. We opted for the latter. So, the idea is to use our tablets to transfer the contents of the microSD cards to the HDD every day.

Card in tablet, HDD (using a normal->mini cable) connected, and then simply drag&drop. And it works flawlessly! We're ready for our trip :D

    Lmao.

    Also, Still alive! (02/14 M80TA 64GB)

Drawing out automata and math notation is such a breeze on this thing! Really has been a godsend so far through my courses. Worth the money.

In other news, that surface pro 3 tempting me with the dark side (N-Trig)...
