OK, so I finally got a monitor and I want to hook my AVTN8 up to it. I've looked at some (micro)USB to HDMI or VGA adapters, but I am not sure what works. CA anyone who has connected their Note 8 to monitor or TV make a recommendation? Thanks!

How has this been working for you? I want to connect my AVTN8 to a monitor that takes HDMI and VGA, and I am not sure what to use.

That setup uses USB not VGA or HDMI.

well i am not aware of any ordinary USB-OTG working for this purpose, thats what i meant to say. There may be some other solutions which i am not aware of, and HDMI cables is not one of them , just plugging a micro USB to HDMI cable wont work

So what about the J5Create JUA250 USB2HDMI? It is much pricier than I had hoped costing $70 on Amazon. Were you unable to get it to work?
    Thanks!

I can set it up with either one but not both. So either J5 or DisplayLink. But both are used with USB monitors, not HDMI monitors.

So, I am confused then. What do these words mean "the other is an Iiyama with a J5Create JUA250 USB2HDMI converter connected"?

It means that I tested that setup as well, but its more than a year ago and I wanted the DisplayLink setup because the USB monitor was portable and the HDMI os attached to a wall mount. Once I had DisplayLink up and running I never bothered with the J5 again because I wasn't interested in a fixed setup, I wanted a mobile solution. But yes, they both worked, just not together.
