Firstly the light is very dull, so you may not notice it's on in daylight, as opposed to at night.
When the charger is plugged in, it's orange when charging, white when full, not lit when no charger is attached.

For those working on making a full recovery partition,

    1) I don't understand why the one Windows offers to make on a stick isn't sufficient.
    2) Chippy at UMPC Portal posted a video howto. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uX_wqf9vY3Y) I know I've seen written instructions on this for the Dell V8P, too.

Thanks, but there is nothing new in this. We know this method already, it´s just not what we want. We wanted to move the recovery to SD and make it accessible from there for the 64GB version. This video just shows how to make an external recovery drive.

I have done that. I just inserted in this tiny USB holder, connected it to an OTG USBmicro to regular and voilá there it is on the microSD card.

You don´t get it. Windows will not see it as a recovery partition if you do it like this, would you ever need to recover your system on the road.

Just got the 128GB micro SD and it seems pretty nice.

Yeah, i bought one of those but haven't used it yet. I just look at it when I walk by and smile :D

Kind of overkill perhaps, but they are pretty cheap for $119.

Well I haven't crashed Windows enough to test it, but my understanding was that this should have the same function as the Recovery partition by just inserting it in the USB connector. But I guess your are talking about a situation where you can't boot up the device into Windows at all, right?

    Mea Culpa.

Meso had me pegged...he said I'd be back soon enough with my tail between my legs...and he was right. I'll be hanging out with you SPro 2 stalwarts again over in the Microsoft forum. My explanation is at my blog...I'm beginning to sound like a serial divorcee...

dstrauss we need your avatar back

fyi I'm returning my AVN8 and going back to tride and true TPT2 with Thinkpad Yoga. The Thinkpad Tablet 2 is just the best form factor and device. I've never had this many issues with my pen not working. Yes, I've done refreshes, 1 minute long shut downs to "clear the memory", etc...

A digitizer just not working a week into the ownership of the unit is just awful Quality Control.
