They come with 2 GB of RAM, almost anything does these days.

From what I read, it seems that the HP Stream will be with 1 GB RAM, but I didn't look much into it.

Anyway, I'm very tempted to place an order for the Vivotab Note 8. I noticed the store ran out of stock a few days ago and seems to have just gotten a new batch yesterday. On top of that, they lowered the price by ~$25.

Maybe I'll get a newer one with the problem fixed. Do we know if anything has changed manufacturing wise in the past few months? One can hope...

Ram and eMMC! I'd put in 4Gb and 128Gb in a flash if I could :p

I went ahead and ordered the VivoTab Note 8. Hoping for the best now...

I'll probably have a look at the cables once I get it while also noting the date of manufacture.

Impulsive buying, don't you just hate it. This time though I'm pleasantly surprised. I bought an IVSO case with integrated BT keyboard, and for an 8" device it isn't that bad. Quite nice actually take a Close look at the key size compared with my GN8 case. Keys are marginally bigger making it easier to type, not that I would like to type a PhD thesis on it, but a page or two in a library wouldn't have to fall under academic hardship. 20141003_113523.jpg

I had to return my IVSO bt keyboard case. the keys got stuck and kept repeating...forcing me to shut the tablet off to stop it. Didn't happen all the time but too frequently to make typing comfortable. Good luck with yours. Other than that I really liked it.
