I reinstalled the USB connector in my a Asus Vivotab Note 8. Now when I switch it on the back light comes on but with no logo (and it does not show windows). Any ideas on what I can do?

    1. I think the battery is working because the battery light is on and it stays on as long it is connected to power button

    2. The power light comes on and stays on.

    3. The white light next to the camera comes ON only once one the tablet is restarted with the power button

    4. Backside of the tablet is warm as well.

    5. Not sure if this is relevant but, but I lost one of the screws on the motherboard. [The screw on the bottom left most when the tablet is upside down facing you with the the camera on top ]

Any other suggestions or ideas be appreciated ?

    UPDATE:
Now the only the battery light is on. Camera light, screen backlit light and processor heating up is gone

Try with your front camera deconnected from the board.
I had the same issue, removing the front camera solved the issue
I recovered usb, but loose camera Fair enough

    2. @thierryb, I love your statement "I recovered usb, but loose camera Fair enough". Do you think I can connect the camera later on ?

Because probably you broke like I did something in the connector of the camera. I paid attention with my second AVN8 when I broke its usb and replaced it. And I kept my front camera.

If you want a front camera, you will need to buy a new one.
