I never had any issues on this with Windows 8.1; neither on 10 with build 10240. I started to encounter this issue with build 10547. (NB: I was using last BIOS version - not sure it has any importance in this)

So I just installed 10565 on mine. No BSOD like it said it would BUT all my touchscreen, display, and buttons didn't work. Had to hook up a USB keyboard/mouse to log on and reinstall the V10E package, then back to normal.

I'll play around a bit more, but it seems snappier, didn't have the keyboard loading issue on log on, much improved over RTM.

Did you install it from a download or from windows update ?
Because, from windows update I always obtained BSOD
The 10576 is available since few days, I tried twice and also obtained BS0D
But I knew that I would have it because Microsoft warning us.

What is the process to retrieve a not insider version?

Yes it was through Windows Update. Took a few tries before that th2 update showed up.

Also I switched back to Slow ring to get 10565 after going to 10547 via Fast. Strangely my laptop that always has been on Slow but it still won't offer the update.

So my tablet started BSODing. It appears it happens when you try to do a restart when your tablet is in landscape mode.

Going to try to recover it tonight, luckily I took a backup last night.

EDIT: and that backup didn't work either. I can't even get it into safe mode as the Advanced Startup doesn't work with the touchscreen nor OTG USB keyboard. Managed to roll back to 10547 but many apps aren't starting and the UI looks funny, everything has the @ name.

I guess it's back to 8.1 for now, deciding if I want to back to 10 RTM since it's reported the BSOD problem is fixed.

This issue seems to be solved by windows update.
And is sure solved in insiders release.
Try to do the updates, do not try insiders preview except if your are ready to support other issues.

Actually don't try any of the Insider previews. 10565 got pushed to Slow, and that has the small screen issue. This is how I ended back on 8.1.

Anyone think this will be sorted out by 2016?
