review of the tablet at CES....
Hands-on with the ASUS EP121 Slate PC
Worthless then. Software I use is only usable on Windows :<
3.5 hours of battery life from this guy apparently, less than what I was hoping for.
I agree that it's not groundbreaking, but he did say that those 3.5 hours included primarily work and video watching, which I would imagine the video watching would drain it a bit faster than casual use.
The new Motion Computing CL900 is offering a 10.1 slate with a digitizer and 8 hours of battery life, mainly due to it's Oak Trail processor. 8 hours is pretty damn good battery life, and may make me think twice about the EP121
Please where did you order?
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh hell! You totally threw a wrench in my game plan. I was dead set on getting the ep121, but now im torn. Why was i not aware of this.. I was expecting it to be 2000$ or more being its motion, but if it is indeed under 1000$ like they are saying, then i might have to switch..
Looks intresting but Oak Trail is at least Q2 and it's still an Atom. The EP121 will blow this thing away in speed though I might pick this on up, I will be getting an Oak Trail device sometime I think as I do like the battery life.
I could be wrong, but the Motion looks like its using N-Trig. Because of that I'd go with the Asus for Wacom. They needed to come out with this last year, I think I'll just stick to my iPad now for my note taking.. the Apps have really started to shine since I first got it. For artist though, that pen point precision and pressure sensitive is a must have for sure. And Yay for not skimping on the IPS panel.
Depends if you want wacom or ntrig. Asus is wacom, and motion this time is sporting ntrig digitizers.
