    Hi,

I was working with my slate EP 121 in the bed and accidentially it fell on the floor.

After this, the display shows stripes in lines which have white pixels. It can be seen on the attached picture.

Does anybody have an idea how I can fix the problem. Is there any plug that might be a little bit loose and needs to be pressed firmly?

    Thanks for any help.

    Fabian

The only time I've seen stripes like that before is when the video card on an old desktop PC started dying. Replacing the card was easy in that case and it did the trick, but I have no clue if or how that could be done on an EP. Sorry, that's probably not the most helpful thing to hear right now!

Sorry mate, that looks like the controlcabels from the screen loose contact with the panel itself. Maybe you need a new screen.

I've seen something similar is the TFT connector has a bad contact or there is pressure on the ribbon. Try to reseat the connector by following this thread.

I used to have a similar issue with my ep121, only the stripes were vertical not horizontal like yours. Mine was also caused by no provocation, didn't drop it or anything. But mine messed up the screen resolution making my ep121 near unusable. Couldn't find a way to fix it without tearing the thing open. I wasn't exactly a fan of the ep121 so it wasn't hard for me to move on to another tablet. But most e-bay auctions for the Ep121 range in the $300-$400 range......may be easier to just buy a new/used one.
