    Hi,
I'm just about ready to buy an R1F and install Vista on it, but I'm not allowed to purchase (my employer's rule) if it does not support BitLocker.

If you are running Vista, could you check "Control Panel\BitLocker Drive Encryption" (just type that in the address bar of Windows Explorer) and reply with what Vista tells you? Bonus points if you actually enable it! :)

Thanks for any help! I hope it works so I can get my R1F!

That is promising. BIOS compatibility is the hardest part, and it seems that should not be an issue since Vista is not warning about the BIOS.

    Has anyone actually enabled BitLocker?
    Thanks! Lee

Bitlocker is available in the Enterprise and Ultimate editions.
The Enterprise edition is the one available to corporations that buy "large volumes" - I think.

    Check this, for example:

    hope this helps :)

P.S.: trash this, you already knew this, you just wanted to know if it worked in the R1F. Vamosi, in the CNET review of Ultimate, was unable to activate bitlocker in the acer he was using as testing bed. Sorry for this wasted post of mine :).
