Now that Asus makes a 4:3 8" tablet with 4GB Ram a high resolution display and a Z pen, they don't make it with windows. Boo.

Why not make a windows version of the same tablet... It has an Atom processor even!

The problem will be drivers for the hardware. The first hurdle would be trying to boot windows from an USB stick. Theoretically, it should be possible...

    What, exactly, is a Z-Pen?
I hope those doesn't signal that Asus is moving away from Windows for smaller devices. The T 90 Chi has failed to materialize out here, and I have seen Mr. Shi say in an interview that Windows has lost in the mobile market.

After taking the plunge with a Pipe W5 and suffering a screen between-layer bonding blemish that came and went first, and then losing it altogether to blue screen UEFI failure, I was going to go with a Vido 8S, but I hesitated because of the Pipo's issues and inconvenient warranty. Then I happened upon a Catch of the Day deal for...AVTN8, $280 Australian for 64Gb, which is $150 discount. I dunno, maybe there's an upgrade or T90 Chi imminent, but with local warranty, too good to pass up. I'd like the Chi because it's got z3775, but it's still vapour ware, so I'm happy with the 8 at this price .
