    Interesting, this is the first I have heard about this.
    The EMR article is dated last March.

    Comparison of the active electrostatic in the AVN8 with N-Trig in the Surface. Compares the passive to the Synaptics. That would be a deal killer if true. We should know soon enough.

    The AVN8 is EMR not active electrostatic. I think it is saying the Toshiba will have active electrostatic, which they claim is similar in quality to N-Trig.

    Yes, the article writer says using the Toshiba was a similar experience to the Surface Pro 3.

    FindTabletWithCriteria(8", Windows, good pen, no Vivo Tab Note 8) = {}

    That's how it is.

    Lenovo thinkpad 10(tablet) or Samsung ATIV Smart PC 500T(11",2in1Hybrid) both have pen

    not the 8" that was looking for I presume, but just an alternative or a choice of selection:vboops:

    Note: Had a horrible experience with Lenovo but I don't know about the others, I sure don't want that to happen again,:(

    I've just ordered one, cost AUD 225 with express freight from Merimobiles, wherever they are. The only active stylus I've had before was a Samsung T500 convertible with Wacom. The PC died, but I used the stylus a little for CAD and sketching before it did. The left/right click button equivalents are more useful to me than pressure levels.
