    Hello,

More than ten years ago, while drawing university notes with a stylus on a HP TC1000 with Windows XP, I became addicted to the "add space" functionality of Microsoft OneNote. I could add and remove arbitrary blank space at any vertical point, automatically scrolling down the subsequent contents. I could join together matching contents. I could move and rewrite individual topics to my liking. The whole process was fun and the result effective.

Fast forward, today I own two Android tablets with styluses and no Windows tablet. OneNote is available for Android, but the blessed feature is unavailable in non-Windows versions. Thank you Microsoft marketing people. One must resort to zooming out, selecting, moving, zooming in, editing, moving out... you get the point.

I don't want to buy new hardware just for a software feature. So, please can you share the names of any good Android note-taking app that can add space betwen existing contents? Another hard requirement is that they should't suck all my device personal data into the cloud.

    Best,
    ED

It's been a while since I used LectureNotes but that app has a lot of good features and a developer who listens closely to his user base.

I installed it but it does not seem to have the feature I need.
Any other suggestions? Don't make me buy a Windows tablet

The add space feature you are looking for is called Add supplementary field.

Doesn't seem to be doing what I want because it does not work with the stylus and does not scroll down the subsequent contents.
