That sounds almost to good to be true, please report back after a few days, if you still see 9-10 hours as possible.

More like 4 to 5 hours max. I never seen an i5 model. There is only one model in the West. That review is basic. Not real test.

Apple just released a new iPad with impressive specs. HP released the Folio. Surface pro 6 got an update. The Switch 7 announced 1 year ago and only now shipping in numbers seems big, heavy, expensive and not very innovative. Acer got slammed.

If there's not a definitive review by @MobileTechReview it's not a consideration for me, regardless of unicorn tech specs. The user reviews are all over the map. Such a shame—it really looked ideal when annonced a year and two months ago.

That's nearly an elephantine gestation period.

Acer's done the same thing with a unicorn chromebook, the Spin13. Amazing specs, good pricing, apparently decent design/build, a few floating in the wild in Europe, couple of low-brow reviews, 6 months since announcement still not for sale in US. What gives Acer?

Guys, not every device is centered on the US market. Just because Acer is not focusing Stateside for this particular release, doesn't mean that it is somehow "abandonware" or "EOL"...

Acer has a much stronger marketing presence in Southeast Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, HK and of course, Taiwan). Case in point, Acer Malaysia just held its annual "Acer Day" in August, where they proudly showed off the AS7:

Every spec was discussed and in my opinion, they are rightly proud of their technical achievement.

So let's expand our awareness to a global perspective before railing on a particular company or device.

@Marty - maybe we just aren't the target market then. As a serial returner, the lack of demo units and high cost of returns to Acer (most sellers want 15% or more in restocking fees) makes this a gamble, much less the fact that it is larger (L x W) than the Surface Book clipboard and nearly as heavy as my SB2 with the Acer keyboard attached.

I'm not railing on it for not being in the states, it's more a healthy skepticism of a device that took 14 months to go from announcement to release that has me concerned.
