I think Acer is a Taiwanese company. So it would be either "Nationalist China Water Torture" or "Taiwanese Water Torture."

The surface pro prices aren't so bad, as long as you don't mind living in your car that is.

Will the Wacom Pro Pen be compatible with this device ??

It is unlikely that the Wacom Pro Pen would be compatible, Wacom keeps that digitizer line for their own devices.

Thank you for the info. I thought they let others use their old digitizers, not an entirely different line :). 4000 pressure levels and tilt supports sounds the same as cintiq companion 2.

Is it even possible then, that the Samsung notebook 9 also has a different digitizer that the switch 7 since they're major stockholder?

It's possible, but unlikely, I think they try to maintain a line between consumer and professional offerings.

My bet is the Wacom EMR across the Samsung phones, tablets, notebooks, and the Acer are going to be cross-compatible.

They're old professional digitisers are compatible (pretty much any of the grey and pale blue/purple ones), but they did something years ago that made 'professional' EMR incompatibly. It's the exact some technology as the consumer EMR, hence the ease with which they boosted up the pressure sensitivity and added tilt. However, I believe they made some small hardware changes to prevent incompatibility. Sometimes you can get 'pro' EMR pens to briefly register on consumer EMR digitisers.

I totally underestimated the amount of money you spend just on pens xD
a running total of 500 dollars so far.

Im really crossing my fingers for this one though.

With the Zbook x2 being priced at 5000 dollars in Denmark, samsung laptops not available in EU and Wacom Mobilestudios being **** for everything but drawing, the acer seems like the last resort to get EMR in something larger than 12 inch.

Yep, Same. I had high hopes for this device. I am still searching for something that could be my main and power a Cintiq. The HP is just too much for me to justify it.
