"power-hungry features such as the high-res screen"

    What a stupid statement.
The screen is not even very high res, and the new Surface Pro or iPad Pro have very good battery life with their higher resolution screens.

Also as long as you're not making much use of the GPU, it won't eat up a lot of power. It might even be turned off when it's not needed, or it might even be more efficient than the eGPU.

In the end it's important, that the battery is big enough, and that you don't turn up the screen brightness to maximum.

It's still quite a few more pixels to power. Also, both the Surface Pro and iPad Pro could have noticeably better battery life with lower resolution displays.

    More than what?
Also I'd take more pixels over a bit of battery life any day.
    I don't think it's a huge factor anyways.

It has more than a whiff of Carl Icahn...that HP Spectre or the rumored 8th gen Dell XPS 2-in-1 are looking better all the time. Who knows, maybe Samsung will get its act together with an updated Notebook 9 Pro (you know, the one that was to be released in September), or put an S-Pen inside the next Galaxy Book 12...

The 8th Gen Intel models - Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 (not yet released); HP Spectre x360 13 (limited pre-orders)

Do either of these have Wacom EMR?

Nope - both are N-Trig (I think the Bamboo stylus works with both, as well as their own brand). The lack of Wacom EMR in top tier OEM's is the bane of my existence (outside of Samsung).
