yea, this is one of my biggest fears with this thing, is it goes the way of the Switch. Switch released in such small numbers in so odd a fashion barely escaped the term vaporware, but I really hope this device gets as much attention on release as possible. I doubt I could really justify the $7000 CAD minimum for this machine even if it is for work, considering I could purchase a cintiq pro 24 and upgrade my desktop for less...
Even I would be waiting with bated breath on Ebay.

Think I would only be able be able to get this through eBay myself. It is how I scored a zbook X2, which reminds me I need to start to use it more now that I just finished school and try to stop looking so much at new machines lol.

Hmm looks interesting. I am a bit curious what Acer's strategy is, as lately it seems to be the fire as many products out to find one the sticks? As mentioned before, pen software support will be important. Nice screen size, and crazy fast GPU!

So far, IMHO, the Zbook X2 still holds up very well, since the Pen drivers are likely the same as "native" Wacom, and the keyboard still works when detached.

14" vs. 17.3" is the biggest difference that matters to me, I doubt the performance will be overwhelmingly noticeable even when rendering 4K projects, but that screen size tho....

15W quad core vs 45W octo core? I think you'll notice the CPU difference too.

Huh, I was under the wrong impression the ZBook X2 was full voltage, or at least 25W. Yeah that's a big difference.

No. For drawing, I do fine with 5W dual cores as long as the canvas and brush size aren't stupid big.
