Thanks Kuma-san. DoCoMo is a subsidiary of my parent company and my cellular is covered by work. Yes, needs to check the network bands as whenever I visit Japan, I have to swap my personal phone with a compatable Japanese set.

And it's very difficult to find a non Docomo-sold phone that supports most of their Network bands. You'll be lucky to get 2 out of 5 supported bands. That means outside of the large cities, it'll be hard to get any reception. So check will.

Thanks again all. For work, I'm covered. Maybe I just get a burner phone for personal usage there or I just rely on Skype minutes or Whatsapp calls.

Will still check out the Mate X.

Android don't have Clip Studio Paint so already it's worse than iPad Mini 5 IMO...

Think I'm gonna wait and see. leaning towards the Tab since I'm not an artist, the spen and the closeness to windows will make for a smoother transition each time from my surface Go/Book to the tablet. The better quality of office apps on iOS and the faster update of the OS for me are the only draws to the iPad, but I think I can live without those.

Not to mention full Photoshop CC coming.... (or fuller anyway) but Photoshop and Clip Studio are pretty major feathers in Apples cap. The best art app on Android is still Medibang Paint, and thats already cross platform. The hovering Cursor and open file system on Android are certainly preferable....but the overall Apps give this victory to Apple.

I also kind of dislike how the new Tab A is 8.9mm thick....same thickness as the Galaxy Book 10.6....and even thicker then the Surface Pro 6 which in 8.5mm. Its not tragic, but a sizeable difference from the iPad Mini 5's 6.1mm thinness. Still....if its Cheap enough....like under $300....I still might snag one. Provided its released in the USA anyway...unlike the last Tab A 8-inch with Spen. But if Clip Studio came to Android...I wouldn't even hesitate to import one.

Where are you getting all this info from? Is it already available? That thickness is a deal breaker though, if it's true.
