6/6/17 Best Buy is giving you $75 credit for any laptop that boots!

No cracked screens nor water damage. Must boot into any OS. One machine per customer per store. Go go go!

I'm on my way to trade in 4 year old Pr0nboo... I mean Chromebook I bought used for $50 two years ago. As long as they don't do a blacklight test on it I should be good!

 

Could be a good deal. My ancient X61t could fit the bill, although by this point I'm considering keeping it as a memento of the prehistoric days of "penabled PCs".

 

Just came back. Got my $75 gift card but had to give my thumb print, blood and stool sample.

 

The Chromebook handled all that? Dang, they can do a lot more than I thought.

 

Like I said, good thing they didn't submit the thing to a blacklight test...

 

Internet sez you can hit different Best Buys and they won't cross check. I still have:
-Toshiba Portege 3505
-Toshiba Portege M700
-Dell Latitude 10
-HP 2740p
I don't use any of those anymore and I think I can get more than $150 for the 2740p since its got 8GB of RAM and a SSD.

It would be hilarious if they take the Portege 3505...

Ha! I have an original Cr-48 that Google gave out for free. I should plug that thing in and see what it boots into. Does it have to be a laptop? Cause I have several tablets I'd dump for $75.

 

I'll let you know after I try and dump my Dell Latitude 10 tablet with dead battery. But that's for another day.

For today, I'm taking in Toshiba Portege 3505 from 2002, and Toshiba Portege M700 from 2007. They both boot and M700 has charge on the battery and 1TB HDD so I'm expecting maybe 100 for that.

 

To my amazement, they took my 15 year old Pentium IIIM Toshiba for $75!

To my disappointment, they only gave me $75 for my Core 2 Duo Toshiba with 1TB HDD...

Also, Dell Latitude 10 isn't on their "list" but Streak and Venues are? Venue I get but Streak?!?
