2nd Harddrve in TX25xx series?

    Excellent execution of a great idea. That pdf looks very impressive. It seems like such an obviously good idea, and a great place to shove an SSD.

    I bought this last year but could not get it to work.

    How did you get the caddy into the slot with the green adapter attached? The HP proprietary SATA adapter "shifts" the SATA slot from where it should be (and there the Newmodeus caddy expects to to be). As a result, when I attached the green HP adapter to the Newmodeus SATA port, I could not get the port to line up with the internal SATA connector.

    How did you solve this????? Would really love to get this working myself.

    As an FYI, you can get pretty inexpensive adapters by just purchasing a used drive from ebay (search "GSA-T30L"). I bought an "extra" DVD drive on ebay for $37 including shipping. I am certain that the adapter if bought from HP will cost more than the total drive on ebay!
