I have gotten a 2730p with slice battery and plan on buying the docking station for it too. Will using the slice and docking station together cause any over heating issues for extended periods of use?

It should work just fine, I've been using my for awhile on my 2730, 2740, and 2760p without any issues.

It won't heat up more with slice and docking than woth only the slice, or docking.
Because the vent inlets are on the bottom, which is in my opinion a big design flaw. I notice my 2470p not being able to get much cool air in when the vents are covered because of the slice/dock.
Laptops/Tablets with battery slices/docks should be designed to be able to take in cool air well.

It still survives me being able to perform indoors in the clubs, so it hasn't overheated the processor (yet).
