is there a way to fix the built-in eraser mouse moving by itself?

every few minutes of mouse movement, it'll want to move by itself for maybe a second or 2. it doesn't move far by itself (maybe .5") before stopping, but it's pretty annoying.

    advice? quick fixes?

The sticks are known for that. Not as bad now as my original IBM Thinkpads. Those use to move all the way to the screen edge and when moved away, moved back to the edge. 1/2" - that's nothing. I never use the stick on my 2730p - it's just a waist of space for me.

I just read the explanation on another website.

basically, when you hold your finger on the eraser for an extended period of time, the eraser recalibrates itself.

solution: don't hold down the eraser for an extended period of time. no problem since.

    :)
