TabletPC.it has a hands-on and they say the pen is AAAA-battery powered, so either Atmel or N-trig, and since the 11-inch X2 had Atmel and the 13-inch X2 pen was spotty when tested, it's probably still Atmel for the 13 and 15 inch models.
The devices will be available with 4GB and 8GB of RAM and Core M 5Y70 and 5Y10 processors. Intel says the 5Y70 will be "11% faster for light media editing" than the i5-4302Y, so the HP Envy X2 Core M should be about 85% as fast as the Surface Pro 3 i5-4300U, and have substantially longer battery life.

I disagree on the Atmel assumption. HP would use its Executive Pen if it were Atmel which takes an AAA battery. This is either N-trig or the new rumored single layer Wacom system which also uses a battery powered pen.

I am not sure since it is only a rumor for me until some solid information is known about it.

I don't believe, that HP will sell a tablet with the 5Y70 for only 1,000 bucks. All serious blogs are only mentioning the lame duck 5Y10.
