Freeware Programms for HP 2730 ?

hello everyone

i installed mypaint on my 2730, and it does turn out a very nice line, unfortunatly the programm does not have any scissor-tool, so you can not isolate parts of the drawing. what other freeware (gimp does a terrible line) is good for a 2730?

There is Paint tools SAI, but I am not sure if its free; other than that I don't know of any other 'good' drawing programs that are free [without obtaining them illegally]; but I personally really like Autodesk Sketch Book Pro; I think its around $60, but you should be able to get a discount with a .edu email, and if you have a .edu email you should at least be able to use it free for quite a while... note that Sketchbook pro is an entirely different program than the new Sketchbook Designer which is a new vector graphics program (like $600-ish!!!)

There are always trials of Art Rage [more of a paint rather than drawing program], Corel Painter, Sketchbook Pro, Photoshop/ Illustrator, so for about 30 day+ you would at least be able to try them out.

Hey robozo,
Unfortunately Paint Tool Sai is not free. You have to pay 60-65$ when the trial period expires.
While I am not an artist and others here are way more knowledgeable than me about these programs, you may find some useful information here:
