How to delete drivers, and how to fix self-clicking mouse?
Sorry to keep posting new threads, but I thought I might get more help if the title reflects the new problem.
First, how do you delete drivers? They don't show up in Programs and Features and I can't find any information through Google.
Will restore points undo Windows Updates? I want to get rid of all of them.
My main problem with my HP 2730p right now is a self-clicking mouse. It's not simply my hand hitting the touchpad while I type, it's rapidly clicking things by itself. It doesn't do it all the time. Most recently, it was fine until I opened up the Internet and went to YouTube. Once it started the video, it started rapidly left clicking anything I moved the cursor over.
I just did a clean install of Windows 7 Professional. I have downloaded Avast, MalwareBytes, and MyPaint. I have installed only the "imortant" security updates from Windows Updates. I have installed the touchpad driver from HP and the Wacom driver from Wacom.
If it is not the hardware of the computer itself, it has to be a Windows Update. But why would those be a problem, when on my sister's identical system she installed them and has no problem?

Re: How to delete drivers, and how to fix self-clicking mouse?
Try a new install. This time, install the Antivirus and all the drivers provided by HP, but no other drivers. Then use the system for a day to observe how it behaves. Then, install the critical Windows Updates (but no drivers) and observe for a day how the system behaves. Then, install the non-critical Windows Updates (.NET and other stuff), but again, don't install any drivers recommended by Windows.
On my HP TM2, Windows Update recommends a Synaptics driver for my touchpad, but it causes my touchpad to behave erratically. I had to perform a new clean install to remedy the problem, but I've learned that driver, for whatever reason, does not go well with my TM2's setup.Hi! I'm a Tablet PC....and I'm not a goddamn toy.

Okay, I'll start the install again now. I've done a new install once already, so do all of these installs pile up and take up space or do they replace each other?

In the beginning of the installation process, you'll be asked if you want to format/wipe out the contents of the drive. If you say yes, then every single bit of data is removed before the new installation takes place. Meaning, the new install replaces the old one.

Re: How to delete drivers, and how to fix self-clicking mouse?
I was asked which drive, but not if I wanted to wipe them. Is it bad that I didn't then? Could it be keeping whatever problem is causing the touchpad to act up? It did tell me I could delete windows.old, which is where the old version would be kept.

Re: How to delete drivers, and how to fix self-clicking mouse?
Okay, thanks for your help. I'll follow your suggestions and see if I can pinpoint what's causing the problem. I'll spend tomorrow going down the list on the HP driver site.
