Windows 8 Consumer Preview on your tablet?!?!

I can't believe there isn't a thread about this yet!

All you tablet PC owners out there (grr hate how searching for "Tablet" only shows up apple/android units) have you installed the new windows 8 consumer preview on your machine? If so how is it? Does all the muti touch gestures work? If it doesn't have muti touch does using the pen works as well?!?

I'm in the market for a USED tablet PC and was wondering which one would run windows 8 consumer preview well? Any suggestions?

So far I'm looking at

Hp tx1000 (has multi touch)
IBM thinkpad x61 (has multi touch)

Uh, look above under Windows 8 Consumer Preview. There are several threads there. Also, under each manufacturer there has been threads there as well. Poke around and you'll see 'em....

Please, please, PLEASE don't go near the tx1000. Search for the fantastic black screen issue and then possibly skip that model. The TM2 isn't a 'bad' machine but the one you really want to have a look at would be the HP 2740p. SUre, obviously, it might cost a bit more than the others but eventually the price will drop and the 2nd hand units appear.

Other than that others will probably have a few more suggestions.

oh i just found the big old windows 8 thread haha... i'll have to take a peek at that thread to see which used tablet i want to pick up to run win 8

haha that's the second warning about the tx1000... guess I won't pick it up then

surprisingly there isn't much options on CRAIGLIST... only the tx1000, the IBM X61 and the Toshiba Portege M400 Tablet PC Intel Core2Duo even though I don't think this unit has a touchscreen

and Fujitsu Lifebook T2020 3.5lb but i don't think its touchscreen either

any comments about using win8 with pen only? does it ruin the experience not being able to pitch and zoom?
