PDF editor with ink notes?
Hello,
I'm sorry if this have been asked before but I was wondering if any of the PDF editors like Bluebeam pdf revu, pdf annotator, etc supports adding notes to pdf with ink as content (instead of text).
Suppose I'm reading a math paper and I would like to do some of the derivations. It would be usefull to attach a note where you can ink the derivation.
I suppose that in the worst case I could do the derivation in onenote and then attach the file to the pdf but it seems like a lot of trouble. How do you guys handle this? Surely I'm not the only one who would find this feature useful.
Thanks---

Re: PDF editor with ink notes?
I don't think that this is integrated in the PDF standard, so nope.
But you can add a blank page and write the derivation there.
Or add a blank page to the end of the document and add a hyperlink to the active page. Or just use the bookmark feature to organize your derivations, which links to the corresponding page.
Or save your derivations in a separate file and create a PDF package.
But ink notes, don't think that this is possible.

Re: PDF editor with ink notes?
I'm trying to remember if there awas this kind of functionality in Adobe Acrobat Pro. You could always try the trial, i know it has the notes feature....I can't remember if it however uses ink.
I do remember inking is superior in PDF Annotator or Bluebeam PDF than Adobe however.
it's Dominican Republic Tigerlilly

Re: PDF editor with ink notes?
I'm running Acrobat Pro 7 and it's got a pencil tool that allow markup directly on top of any portion of any page. I think the object created is a bitmap... it certainly can be selected and moved around, deleted, etc. But, afaik, you can't add drawings, just ascii text to any of the notes or callouts.
Edit: I haven't had much need for annotating PDFs, but I was just playing with it and I realized that if I needed more margin space to write notes, I could just expand the page width (for one or all) to create it. Better than adding a page, since it always displays right next to the page being read.

Re: PDF editor with ink notes?
If you have Acrobat, you can try AutoInk. It looks pretty good for an ink solution.
