I also don't know a "better" way to use the eraser with the switch.
Just report it to Bluebeam, maybe they'll fix it in their next version.

It also does not have a full fullscreen. You can go in viewer mode with the profiles and change the profile, but that's all. The taskbar and window bar still stay visible, you can't deactivate them. But OneNote also does not have a real fullscreen.

It does that eraser thing to me sometimes too. I'm starting to get used to lifting the pen out of range to force it to switch modes.

And is there any way to keep file size a bit smaller?
    Files are getting quite big...
Do you print your notes as pdfs from time to time or something?

You could print it, but then you won't be able to edit it any longer.

    What I do:
I unflatten the whole document, save it, open it with Acrobat, reduce the file size with Acrobat, save it, open it with PDF Revu again and flatten the markups again.
But after the document got too large, you'll have to split it, because it has too many markups then and PDF Revu is not able to unflatten them any longer. This happened after I had about 70 pages.

Hi, what is this flattening or unflattening good for?

In PDFAnnotator, lasso a word, then click on the new ink color you want. That'll change everything that was lasso'd.

For me, I need a real full screen mode because I put my quicklaunch bar on the left and I want to use the full width of the tablet for reading stupidly designed pdfs.

This way you can merge your markups with the document, to reduce the amount of markups, which speeds up PDF Revu but also to disable editing markups, which is nice if you view a PDF and pan with the mouse cursor.

Thank you, good to know, but I won't use PDF Annotator again, PDF Revu is just so much better for me.

Do you mean a full screen mode like Acrobat has, which fills the whole screen, regardless if there's the Taskbar or any other bar.

    @Frank

Since this Software isn't available in my country, could you explain which registry that was? Or what you mean by deleting all registry entries?
Does it need an extra programm to do this?

I would do it like this:. -> windows+R -> regedit -> Edit -> Find -> 'Bluebeam' -> Delete -> Find Next -> delete etc. but there are a ton of entries. I dont know. I dont think this will work :S

I just uninstalled PDF Revu, searched with the Windows search for every file and folder called Revu or Bluebeam, deleted it, searched in the registry for every key or entry called Revu or Bluebeam and deleted it, too, the key if possible. (and yes, there was a lot of keys to delete, not just one or two, maybe twenty or thirty)

But it seems as if it does not work any longer, at least vitor (see the page before) wasn't able to use the trial a second time.

I also don't understand what you mean with "this Software isn't available in my country". Software is available in every country and you can order it from wherever you live.

PS: They "announced" PDF Revu 7 a few days ago,
Bluebeam plans to release Bluebeam PDF Revu version 7.0 in early 2009.
I hope they added a lot of nice features

Thanks for the heads up. I was about to buy a second student copy, which would've been the older student non-upgradable version, so you've just given me good reason to wait.

I'm hoping for three big things.
    1. Freehand lines stay connected.
    2. A fullscreen reading mode.
    3. An easier way to make straight lines using the shift key/button. It's damn near impossible to consistently draw a vertical or horizontal line.

PDFAnnotator kills PDFRevu in all of these categories. If Bluebeam fixes addresses all of these, I'll completely support using PDFRevu over PDFAnnotator. Right now I encourage trying or buying both.
