    Bluebeam released version 7.0.1.

They've solved a few smaller bugs, sadly no tablet specific improvements.

It still uses the old eraser, still has some annoying bugs version 6 already had and no other improvements.

Maybe they are too busy with repairing the bugs the newly released version 7 has at the moment
Let's hope that they will improve the tablet experience in their next minor update

I payed 30$ for pdf revu 6! It would be fair, if students could purchase an upgrade to 7 for less than 30$!

Just downloaded 7.01. The stroke eraser seems improved to me. I can erase multiple strokes completely with pen eraser.

rnode, would you please clarify on the eraser? If you drew a couple z's with sharp corners, could you go back and erase each z with one touch from the eraser? The older version would break that z at the corners, so it'd be erased in three parts.

Sure... just drew two sharp cornered z's. flip pen and press eraser as swipe across z in one stroke... first one erased, same with second z. Created series of about 12 sharp-edged strokes (like z multiple times), same result. one press and swipe and it's gone.

I must admit, I only tried 7.01 after writing bluebeam about hearing the issue remained in version 7. They said it should be fixed with 7.01. I just installed the trial, so more testing to come, but I may have to face whether the newly increased student price is worth it to me.

Edit: Note - a single tap/touch on one section with eraser does not erase entire z, just a section. So, it still sees the continuous sharp strokes as separate. However, if you press eraser and drag a line across them all, it grabs the entire thing in one pass. This also works well across multiple separate strokes. Not sure if this solves the issue you have experienced. For me, the same attempts in 6.5.4 would leave out sections and require another pass with the eraser.

It's possible that they've optimized it, but it's sad that they said to you that this issue is solved now.
Because it is not. It's definitely not. And I also use 7.0.1.

As far as I understood they thought that they've solved this issue by adding three new erasers which allow you to eraser a small part in a line.
The stroke eraser still analyzes the stroke and splits it in section at sharp turns.
Just write a normal sentence and remove it with their 'stroke' eraser. You'll see that tiny parts will remain.

So the old issue is still there. I wrote them a lot of mails with ideas how they could solve it:
They could add a fifth full stroke eraser and maybe add additionally an option in the preferences where the user can define the sensitivity of the old stroke eraser. So that it splits a large Z in three parts but does not split a line with a tiny hook at one end in two parts.

Sadly it seems as if they don't understand the problem. Well, then I have to write them a further mail again.

Here's a video I've sent them which shows and explains the issue.

Don't know what else I can do so they finally understand that they have to solve this bug.

Nice video. I am able to replicate the problem illustrated in the video with 7.01. I suppose I'm somewhat fortunate to not end up with many hooks in the strokes when I write, so I had to exaggerate my writing to get the same results. However, I do agree this should not happen and is still present, even if improved. I replied to the person at bluebeam who told me tech support said it's fixed in 7.01.

I hope you don't mind, I passed the video link as well.

thank you for writing them about the eraser linking to the video. Let's hope that they'll finally accept that this is an issue and solve it.

Is there an option that PDF Revu remembers on what page I stopped reading/editing?

Has anyone tried PDF Revu on the Windows 7 RC? I've downloaded the trial, but it fails to install, complaining about 'registering an assembly' right near the end of the install process.
