how precisely can i write on Gateway CX200?

hi!
i am a grad student and make notes using 0.5 mm mechanical pencil. i wonder how precisely can i write on Gateway CX200? can i write in real small size on this tablet, as i can write on paper with pencil?

this is my main concern in purchasing this machine? if you can answer this, then i will appreciate it.

The pen isn't nearly as sensitive as .5mm pencil lead. You're not going to be able to reproduce that with a Tablet. Someone else might be able to better answer or give you a screen cap as to how small they can write.

useing a tablet is like useing one of those Bic Grip Roller pens

It'll take a week or two, but you'll get used to it. I would reccamend takeing a few notes useing that type of pen and see what you think.

While you can write fairly small with the tablet, why would you want to write so small you need a scope to see what you've written?

The tablet is and endless peice of paper that'll will search your notes for you. You are better off adjusting your handwriting and going with the tablet than trying to keep piles of paper with microscopic writting on them.

Now when I have purchased a Gateway M280 E, I must say it rocks!!!

To my surprise, I can write really small on this just like on paper with 0.5 mm mechanical pencil.

To answer 'inspectagadget', I prefer writing small because I prefer to see as many mathematical equations as I can on a single page. Turning pages or scrolling breaks my concentration.

Other cool feature in a tablet (most of you will be knowing) is that you can resize your written text in journal. So you can actually write smaller on tablet than on paper without mixing characters.

By the way, I have only one concern for my tablet- its screen locking mechanism is bad.

I had to get used to watching the cursor instead of the tip of the pen, you know, since the tip is separated from the actual LCD by glass, perspective plays a little game on you, no matter how calibrated, although calibrating makes it quite good...

now, how you calibrate it, with what angles and what hand positions you click on the crosshairs, that's the research I'm doing right now...
