I have the same sp3 as yours and have none of these problems.
Try not using chrome. It's eating your CPU causing extra heat.
Not for hibernate. Working using connected standby. I use hibernate so can't wait until the September update.

Coming from an SP1 that's the last thing I would expect to happen. My SP3 is much more responsive to the pen and touch.

I saw a benchmark for the 64 drive in them and it was the slowest vs. other brand 64's. Last place.
The biggest reason for thinking this is how well the i3 gets the job done with the least possible heat and no throttling drama.
I think the I3 should be 128gig. I would seriously get one at that level over the i5. They should really dump the 64 version.
