No thunderbolt?
I moved on from a T904 to a HP EliteBook x360 G2 and I must say that quality wise it's definitely a step up in quality.
I'd recommend getting the HP Thunberbolt 3 dock. I've been using it for 6-months, it works great and supports 4k....

None what-so-ever that I have been able to detect. Hinge wise it seems to be just as sturdy as the old HP Elitebook tablets I've previously used.
I've used my T904 7-days a week for a year now both at work and at home without any noticeable wear to the hinge so I'd say it's pretty solid.
