Win 8 Upgrade - A Supported Wacom Tablet not found...
I just did an Upgrade to Win 8CP and everything works great except the stylus has gone to basic mouse functionality and will only function as such.
I've tried numerous things but it seems like the Wacom functionality has completely disappeared.
When I try to install the Wacom driver (any Wacom driver) I get an error that says "A supported tablet was not found On the system." It's also non existent in the device manager. There is a new addition to the device manager in the way of a new HID compliant mouse (which I have tried uninstalling but keeps coming back).
Like most of you I rely heavily on the stylus, for everything from OneNote to Photoshop and this is a major problem for me.
I was hoping someone could help. Thanks in advance.Last edited by czm2000; 04-08-2012 at 07:39 PM.

Try the link below. I've installed the latest version from that thread.

Re: Win 8 Upgrade - A Supported Wacom Tablet not found...
Thank you for replying.
Yes, I have tried that, but it won't let me install it. I just get that error that I stated in my original post about A supported Wacom tablet was not found on the system.
It's like the Wacom functionality is gone. I need help getting that back.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Win 8 Upgrade - A Supported Wacom Tablet not found...
Solved it. I had to completely format and wipe the slate. Then start over with the original Win 7 install. Then upgraded to Win 8 and this time chose to remember/keep nothing (last time I chose to retain files, apps, and settings).
Now the Wacom digitizer no longer acting as a mouse and works perfectly.

Re: Win 8 Upgrade - A Supported Wacom Tablet not found...
I did a clean install and got everything to work ok. But having some issues with some apps. photoshop gives me a weird jump whenever I move the canvas with the pen. corel painter zooms with the pen when I try to paint. are you experiencing any issues like that. if not, I might just wipe and do an upgrade from win 7 instead of a clean install.

Re: Win 8 Upgrade - A Supported Wacom Tablet not found...
I don't have all of my software with me here at work. The only thing I've been able to try so far since my installation completed was OneNote and it works great, pressure sensitivity and all.
I don't use Painter. But I will be installing PS CS5 along with Sketchbook Pro, and Artrage Pro this evening and I'll report back with my findings once I do.
Now that my Win 8 recognizes I the Wacom tablet functionality I may tool around a little with the Asus drivers. Not sure though, it sucked to have to start over and if I can get it working decent for now, I might not mess with it. Samsung chat said they're working on newer drivers and will hopefully have them out in the next couple months. I believe them since they already have enhanced touch and rotation sensor drivers released. Only a matter of time before more are tweaked for Windows 8.

I would recommend not updating the touch firmware, if you wish to use the artdock/ paintdock floating around. it will make those apps unusable.

Oh crap. Too late. And I had wanted to use the Art dock again :-( I had used it on Win7 install and loved it. Oh well, what can ya do. I certainly am not going to go through the whole process again for the Art Dock. I'll just have to make do for now.

Re: Win 8 Upgrade - A Supported Wacom Tablet not found...
as far as I know you can't revert back after the update. win 7 will also have the update if you choose to go back. I'm just waiting for BadGrim to see if he/she can get the new touch data to work.
My own worst enemy, dont Run touchcfgupdate
