Need a little advice on 2 things.

I am in love with Windows 8 on the Slate. Most things seems to work the way I want them to . The S7S is mainly for work, as it is not powerful enough for some things. I am having one issue however that I need some help. I can't print. Both of my offices have a HP office jet 8500 printer. I can not get the print drivers to install. Anyone else having trouble installing print drivers?

2nd thing is I need some advise. I currently have an iMac in my man office an use my Macbook with Thunderbolt display in second office. I want to replace both with an IPS display probably from Dell or HP. Can the S7S display on an IPS display?

Question 1: I didn't have any problems installing printer drivers for an HP c309 (premium all in one) printer. Are you sure you have the latest drivers and for Windows 7 (x64)?

Thanks for the input. actually reinstalled Win 8 with 64 bit and 32 bit. Tried both and no success. Bummer.

As I recall, I didn't have printers showing up under Windows 8's Devices area until I used Windows Explorer to navigate to the printer manually through the Navigation Pane's Network area.

The next time I looked in Metro's Devices area, the printers were all listed.

Don't know if there's a connection, but it's worth a try.

i've never got the printers to show under devices in metro but was able to install the win 7 drivers for each and print normally from applications.
samsung color lazer and epson inkjet - both network printers
