S7S Increase Rows in Metro Start Screen?
Hi everyone.
I am not sure if anyone has any luck (or it is even possible) trying to increase the number of rows on the Start Screen.
By default, when on the slate, you have 3 rows. I would like it to be 4.
When I dock my slate it sees my 21" Acer monitor and actually kicks it up to 1920 resolution and shows 6 rows.
I have found the registry keys that allow you to cap/set this but it does NOT change the setting for the slate when it is undocked.
Note, here is what I did that did not work for me.
In registry, I changed all Layout* settings to have 4 as the value (see attachement).
This works in the sense that it will limit my secondary screen from having more than 4 rows but it does not force the Samsung to go to 4.
I have read that the #3 is the ideal setting and is based on resolution (1378xwhatever) but this is not ideal for me. In the Dev Preview I had set this to 4 (with one of these registry items) and it had 4 on the screen for like 5 minutes and then when I restarted I lost it and it went back to 3 and I could never get it back.
Anyone have luck trying to get Win8 CP on S7S running with 4 rows on the device itself? 4 is pretty nice...
