Have tried your suggestions, but when I try to install the Motion Sensor drivers, it says a newer version is installed so it won't install.

Does anyone know the location of the drivers? I would think I could set it to Win7 compatibility mode directly.

    Thanks

"C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\ls m303dlh7.inf_amd64_neutral_c9e81e6101cfd84d" however reinstalling won't help as the issue is these drivers don't work with Windows 8.

Same issue here. Accelerometer installs in win7 compatibility mode but does not function.

I wrote a simple application that switches you between portrait/landscape when you run it.

You can extract this exe somewhere and pin it to your taskbar / start screen, so you can change rotation with a single tap.

    Application: http://pirocast.net/SwapRotation.zip

Pretty sure it's virus-free. If not, you can blame MSE. Upload it to Jotti if you're paranoid.

(Note: I'm posting this message anywhere I can find people having the same issue, in hopes that it might be of help. I hope it's not considered spam...)

    pir0zhki,

Thanks for application. It work perfectly. I guess this could be a temporary solution until Samsung releases a new driver.

    Hey Guys,

I would like to know how to backup the initial status (recovery partition) of my Samsung Slate 7 to external HDD so that I can regain those extra space. I am currently on dual boot with win 7 Microsoft Signature Build and Windows 8 Consumer Preview. So far so good and although the lack of right click does annoy, I think I can live with that. I am now planning to have this Windows 8 as my main and only OS. Any help will be highly appreciated. By the way, any tips on battery life on my Samsung? Thanks..

If that's the case and you look in device manager you will find you are a mouse HID and not a digitizer. I think that this one of the reasons why the machine works well with a mouse or well with touch but is, honestly rubbish as a tablet.

Whilst I appreciate the frowning face graphic on the blue screen of death, it gets old after a dozen or so times..... This crashing always happens using tablet related functions on software.

Does anybody know how to get win 8 to see the digitizer as a digitizer and not a mouse?
Uninstall the Wacom application you'll find listed under uninstall programs list. I found that when I installed W8 CP windows installed this by default. Uninstall it and windows will use default drivers. Had the same problem and this fixed it for me.

I never installed the wacom driver under win7 and so the upgrade to win8 never affected the pen - mine works perfectly as both pen and touch.

When i first bought the tablet i had bluescreens frequently and almost always if inpressed the power button to send the unit to sleep. But when samsung released the second firmware update they stopped happening. And i haven't had a single blue screen in the whole time i've been using win8 CP. so maybe check your firmware.
