Re: Series 7 Slate AC Adapter & Tip
Could someone with a few min to spare please do me a favour and measure the dimensions of the original charger/brick for me, and will I be able to plug my Swedish power-chord to it?
Cheers!

Re: Series 7 Slate AC Adapter & Tip
Bad news on the Samsung AC Adapter I had on order from SamsungParts.com - that part is on back-order and it could be 6 to 8 weeks before they have it in stock - so I cancelled my order - and will resume my search for a compatible adapter...

...Measurements of the charger brick only (not including the rubber strain relief on the DC cable) are:
3.67 x 1.52 x 1.08 inches or...
93.32 x 38.48 x 27.51 mm
The DC plug dimensions are:
0.117" OD, 0.041" ID (best estimate) and 0.304" long or...
2.97 mm OD, 1.04mm ID (best estimate) and 7.72mm long
...And yes, I used a precision Starrett caliper. Why do you ask?

Re: Series 7 Slate AC Adapter & Tip
Awesome Steve, thanks. Youre measuements are slightly off from the ones I got but I dont think he was using fancy calipers! In any case, its ok, the brick still fits in the case! I just started a thread on it here, check it out! Perfect case for us!

Re: Series 7 Slate AC Adapter & Tip
Since the Slate can work with the Series 9, I'm ordering the AA-PA3NS40 to see if it works. Will let you all know how it flies if it comes in. Hopefully in about 2 weeks. More info on the adapter here:http://www.samsung.com/us/computer/l.../AA-PA3NS40/US

Re: Series 7 Slate AC Adapter & Tip
So steve, this will work? Its not grounded.

Oh and sorry to ask you to get the measuring tape out again, but what is the length of the cord going from the brick to the slate?
And would this work? Its 45 W, not 40 though. http://www.amazon.com/Digipower-45-W...1485259&sr=8-6Last edited by timpaatkins; 11-16-2011 at 05:16 PM.
