Actually I see very few complaints.
What I see is people asking questions and working through their problems.

It just doesnt add up that a certain mSata drive is not compatible with W8. Im pretty sure its a bad installation.

And yet all the evidence points to that.
Multiple bad Windows install by multiple people all with a common hardware part and no bad windows installs by people without that hardware part?

It restarted OK but looks like something isn't good.

Just doing some Windows updates and notices there are two Atheros ones - one for the Bluetooth and one for the Wireless.
Maybe that will fix your problem?
    The updates were published 16/3/2012.

    Edit:
actually it seems like there is a problem with the Atheros updates - oth of them fail and won't install through Windows Update. I wonder if the Atheros website has them for download...

3G - is working very well now. I have set it to connect automatically and it does that each time the computer comes out of sleep. If I am at home or in the office the Windpad connects to the Wireless network which overrides the 3G. So far so good.
Thanks for the test and glad your 3G is working well.

I dont normally go on forums as I feel they can be a cop out from research. This is my first foray because I am researching and like the device but find that there is not a lot out there. This is a great forum where I believe people make the effort but are also sharing ideas.
Regarding Toshiba BT - I have a 3 page letter I sent to Toshiba due to the fact that their BT stack causes more problems with Nokia Suite than I am having with the MSI. After 3 days working with their technical people they admitted defeat and refunded the device. Ended up having to buy the most expensive Toshiba laptop to even vaguely get the BT connection to my phone working and it still will not create the tethering internet connection.
So perhaps cut us all a little slack?
    Cheers
