Default Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Review Discussion

At first glance, the 10.1-inch version of Samsung's Galaxy Note looks a lot like the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, except that it comes equipped with an S Pen stylus. Still, this is a device that differs from the common tablet in many ways, above all, in its bundled software which has been specially created for use with the S Pen.

    Dragan,

Thanks for the article. You are in a unique position to describe the value of this tablet vs. a Tablet PC (or a convertible Windows 8 ultrabook tablet hybrid). I used to rely heavily on tablet pc's at work for two different scenarios:

    1) Marking up a powerpoint document (in OneNote) while recording audio
    2) Simply taking notes in OneNote (with a pen) while recording audio

Lately, I've been taking notes on paper while recording with evernote on my Droid Bionic. I know S-Note does not offer OneNote capability but I wonder if you could comment on two things:

    1) Ability to take notes in s-note while recording audio and self time-stamping particular notes where you feel you didn't capture the point too well (I look at the recording timer and write down the time so that I can go back and listen to that segment again much like OneNote enables you to do).

    2) Ability to import PowerPoint (without converting to PDF first) to replicate scenario 1 above.

    Thanks in advance,
    tnnm

Because this thread was started to discuss a review of the Galaxy Note which has a Wacom pressure-sensitive digitizer built-in. Neither the iPad 4 nor the Onda do. Different animals.
