Re: Android 4.0 ICS Update Now Available For Galaxy Note Discussion
That's great news, but I'm still waiting.
I have the unlocked international note running on my AT&T sim card, hopefully I'll get the international update and not have to wait around for the AT&T update. I don't know if that's even compatible.

Re: Android 4.0 ICS Update Now Available For Galaxy Note Discussion
I'm very excited to hear real world reports on this upgrade. There's so much about this phone/tablet I wanted to like, but my experience testing it in February was that it was undercooked. There was, by my standards, quite a lot of pen lag when drawing and writing, and many apps in Gingerbread just weren't really pen-appropriate. I'm hoping things are different with ICS.
I'd like to be smoothly annotating simple PDF forms that I can then email, doing simple sketches and paintings, making simple landscape maps, taking basic field notes and measurements, and running my to do list and calendar (?) with the pen. The rest of what it offers is cool, but is mostly for play-- it's the pen based stuff that drew me in to the idea of upgrading. The truth is that I've been waiting for ICS to try one out for 30 days, so now I'll be heading down and probably really giving it a go.
If people have reports, apps, useful tips for using the Note in these ways, etc I'd love to hear about it. There's a thread in the Other Brands forum for artists, but if someone knows of one somewhere else te Samsung forum??) I'ld love to know.Last edited by Steve B; 05-14-2012 at 08:10 PM.
