Interesting. That's something for people in the market to seriously consider. There are a lot of used iPad 2 units out there for sale, but a new one is going to have a much longer battery life.

Of course, it's also bad news for anyone selling an iPad 2: your device just got a little less valuable.

Of course, I don't think anyone was complaining the original iPad 2 battery didn't provide enough juice -- it's still one of the best on the market -- but the performance boost from the new iPad 2 is pretty significant. I wonder if there will be any backlash against Apple for making this a crapshoot for consumers.
