10-inch display, 8-10 hours of battery life... we may have a winner here. A lot will depend on performance and price, of course.

I'd REALLY like the dock to actually be a nice keyboard (like the W500/TC1100) but not just a keyboard (Prime etc)... but a NICE keyboard (Aim for business people that type ALL day and not just for quick facebook chats).
Either way... I'll get one as I'm a slave to desire. Dammit.Last edited by excalibur1814; 04-29-2012 at 09:10 AM. Reason: spelling error

Re: HP Slate 8 Windows 8 Business Tablet Unveiled Discussion
Is it just me, or does the bezel look as though it's made to close on something (ie, hinge like a laptop)?
Despite the different OS SKUs, what's to say it can't run ARM in tablet mode, and x86/x64 docked into some sort of ultrabook base? Sure it would be limited functionliaty in the tablet mode, but that wouldn't be a bad thing for me as long as I had full functionality ARM OneNote. I would actually welcome it instead of having a slow machine that I can't possibly make any quicker. If I could dock my CL900 in a way that gave it a core i7, I'd be a happy man.
